Join CHEC Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a leading global infrastructure construction company, as a QA/QC Engineer in Bali, Indonesia. This contract-based role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact construction projects in some of Bali’s most dynamic locations, including Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, and Badung.
As a QA/QC Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, conduct inspections, and verify that all work aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify adherence to quality standards and project drawings.
- Identify and document non-conformances, defects, or deviations from quality standards, and recommend corrective actions to project teams.
- Collaborate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that all construction work meets the required quality benchmarks before approval.
- Review and approve construction materials, testing reports, and certifications to ensure they comply with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC reports, including inspection records, test results, and compliance documentation for project stakeholders.
- Ensure that all construction activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on QA/QC processes, standards, and procedures to promote a culture of quality and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, preferably on infrastructure or large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, or local Indonesian standards).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Experience with quality inspection tools, testing methods, and documentation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in QA/QC (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Lead Auditor) is a plus.
