Responsibility
- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to extend equipment lifespan and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting production efficiency.
- Conduct regular equipment audits and performance assessments, providing data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on SMT equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and validation of new SMT machinery, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance metrics for regulatory and internal reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SMT equipment engineering, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of SMT machinery, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and guide team members.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, ISO, and ESD control measures.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to equipment emergencies as needed.
