Responsibility
- Lead and manage engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production operations and adherence to industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control systems, including ISO and other relevant certifications, to maintain product consistency and compliance.
- Oversee the design, testing, and optimization of precision machining and metal fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with sales and R&D teams to align production capabilities with customer requirements and market demands.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Mentor and develop engineering and quality assurance staff, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in precision machining, metal fabrication, or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949, with a strong understanding of metrology and inspection techniques.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, automation).
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools to optimize production planning and inventory management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to executive leadership.
