Responsibility
- Manage and maintain accurate records of all data center assets, including hardware, software, and network equipment.
- Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to ensure asset accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with IT and operations teams to track asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Monitor and report on asset utilization, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data center asset management.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to manage asset warranties, service agreements, and repairs.
- Provide support for data center operations, including incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data center operations, asset management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Familiarity with asset management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA, or other relevant areas are a plus.
