Responsibility
- Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies for manufacturing BOM components to ensure cost-effectiveness and supply continuity.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and vendors based on quality, reliability, pricing, and ethical standards.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks to proactively mitigate disruptions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to align sourcing decisions with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by sourcing eco-friendly materials and supporting VDL ETG’s corporate responsibility goals.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including RFQs, POs, and supplier agreements, in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commodity sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and tools like Excel or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of BOM structures, material specifications, and manufacturing processes is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, logistics, and customs procedures.
- Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
