Responsibility
- Develop and refine 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks for mechanical and electromechanical components.
- Process and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to ensure designs meet evolving project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to validate designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain and organize drawing archives, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and revision histories in compliance with company standards.
- Perform design reviews and tolerance stack-up analyses to optimize manufacturability and functionality.
- Support prototyping and testing phases by providing accurate and scalable design documentation.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) and internal quality control protocols.
- Utilize PDM (Product Data Management) systems to streamline workflows and version control.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting or design, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (certification is a plus) and familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.
- Experience with ECR/ECN processes and revision control systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
