Responsibility
- Develop and implement electrical safety protocols and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for engineering staff on electrical safety, equipment handling, and emergency response.
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into engineering projects and operational processes.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical safety technologies and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on safety and training.
- Certification in electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and safety training programs.
- Strong knowledge of rail transport systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
