Responsibility
- Lead the inspection, assessment, and maintenance of permanent way systems, including tracks, switches, and crossings, to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of rail infrastructure components.
- Conduct defect analysis and root-cause investigations, proposing innovative engineering solutions to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute civil structural projects, including bridges, tunnels, and retaining walls.
- Oversee the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and drawings for infrastructure upgrades and new developments.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of rail assets using advanced diagnostic tools and data analytics.
- Ensure adherence to local and international rail safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team development and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., P.E., CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in rail infrastructure, permanent way engineering, or civil structural design, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proven expertise in track geometry, ballast management, and rail defect analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000) and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), BIM, and structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with international rail standards (e.g., AREMA, EN, UIC) and local Indonesian regulations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
