Responsibility

  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and HR documentation to ensure legal compliance.
  • Provide expert advice on labor laws, industrial relations, and workplace regulations to senior management.
  • Represent the company in labor disputes, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
  • Conduct legal audits of HR processes to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on employment law for HR teams and managers.
  • Monitor legislative changes and update company policies to maintain compliance with Indonesian labor laws.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents with government agencies (e.g., Manpower Ministry).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (S1 Hukum) with a focus on employment/labor law; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience as an employment law specialist or HR legal advisor.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, including the Manpower Law (UU Ketenagakerjaan) and related regulations.
  • Experience handling labor disputes, terminations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Certification as a Advokat or membership in the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
