Responsibility
- Design, develop, and debug embedded software for mobile devices and network testing equipment.
- Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and real-time operation.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with custom PCB designs.
- Write and maintain RTOS-based applications and device drivers for ARM, MIPS, or x86 architectures.
- Conduct rigorous certification testing (e.g., FCC, CE, 3GPP) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues in embedded environments.
- Document software designs, APIs, and test protocols for internal and client use.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in 5G, IoT, and edge computing to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for mobile or telecom devices.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly language for microcontrollers/SoCs.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks) and bare-metal programming.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, LTE/5G).
- Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and static/dynamic analysis.
- Knowledge of network testing frameworks (e.g., Quali, Spirent) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments.
