Responsibility
- Lead the conceptual, schematic, and detailed structural design of major developments, including high-rise buildings, bridges, and public infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and load calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with local and international codes (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, BS).
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to align design solutions with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Oversee BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration and coordinate with drafting teams to produce accurate construction documents.
- Perform site inspections and quality control checks to verify adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure project excellence and team development.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients, regulators, and internal reviews.
- Stay abreast of emerging materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices to drive innovation in structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; PE (Professional Engineer) or Chartered Engineer certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in structural design, with a focus on large-scale projects (commercial, residential, or infrastructure).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure) and BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of international design codes (e.g., Eurocode, ACI 318, British Standards) and local regulations in Singapore/SEA.
- Proven track record of project leadership, from concept to completion, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors.
- Experience with sustainable design principles (e.g., green building certifications, seismic resilience) is highly desirable.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (work permit support provided for qualified candidates).
