Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of automation systems, including assembly, manufacturing, and test equipment.
- Develop cost-effective, scalable solutions aligned with client requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee proposal development, technical specifications, and project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and control system teams to integrate seamless automation workflows.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design validations to optimize system performance.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships for sourcing high-quality components and materials.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in automation systems.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industrial automation standards.
- Experience with project management, cost estimation, and budgeting for large-scale automation projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with PLC, robotics, and IoT integration is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and travel as needed.
