Responsibility
- Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for Bosch’s hardware products using C/C++ and RTOS.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage in resource-constrained environments.
- Implement and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), and low-level system interfaces.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation (unit, integration, and system-level) to ensure firmware reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in embedded systems, from prototype to production.
- Document firmware architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in embedded systems, IoT, and hardware security to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for hardware products.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks) or bare-metal programming.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, etc.) and development tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Strong understanding of hardware-software interfaces, memory management, and real-time systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for embedded development.
- Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet) and debugging tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
