Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of PCB layouts for life science instruments, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and validate mixed-signal electronic circuits, including analog, digital, and power management systems, to meet stringent technical and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing and validation to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, FCC, CE).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture, specifications, and design requirements for new product development.
- Build and test prototypes, analyze performance data, and iterate designs to achieve optimal functionality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues, including signal integrity, noise reduction, and thermal management.
- Document design processes, test results, and compliance reports to support regulatory submissions and internal knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous team improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in electronic product development, with a focus on PCB design, mixed-signal electronics, or life science instrumentation.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, LTspice).
- Hands-on experience with EMC testing and validation, including familiarity with regulatory standards (IEC, FCC, CE).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including power management, signal conditioning, and microcontroller interfacing.
- Experience with prototype development and testing, including debugging and troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to document designs and present technical findings clearly.
