Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Power Plant facilities, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, API, etc.).
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for electrical projects.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, instrumentation, and process engineers) to integrate electrical systems with overall plant design.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for tenders and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols (e.g., HAZOP, LOTO) and environmental regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Power Plant industries.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or SKM PowerTools).
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, motor control, PLCs, and SCADA.
- Experience with hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx) and explosion-proof equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in remote or offshore locations.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
