Responsibility
- Lead the electrical design of data centre power distribution systems, including medium/low voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, and PDUs.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc flash analyses to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and IT teams to integrate electrical systems with overall data centre infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, NFPA 70) and industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
- Optimize electrical designs for energy efficiency, redundancy, and scalability to support high-density computing environments.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new data centre projects.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draft detailed specifications for procurement and construction.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems during project deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical design for data centres, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools for electrical modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, emergency power, grounding, and lightning protection for data centres.
- Experience with modular and hyperscale data centre designs, including prefabricated solutions.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and collaborative design tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
