Responsibility
- Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from prototyping to mass production, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to timelines.
- Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and packaging, to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and improve product designs for manufacturability.
- Conduct process capability studies, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis to validate and refine manufacturing parameters.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and enhance quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IPC) and customer-specific requirements for all NPI projects.
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes, tools, and quality control measures.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as yield rates, cycle times, and defect rates, driving data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NPI, process engineering, or manufacturing within electronics, medical devices, or similar industries.
- Proven expertise in process development, validation, and troubleshooting for high-volume production.
- Strong knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Minitab, or similar tools for data analysis.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and industry 4.0 technologies is a plus.
