Weâre seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to drive innovation in grid infrastructure, Independent Power Projects (IPP), data centers, and high-voltage power systems across Southeast Asia.

Responsibility
- Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems (up to 500kV) for grid, IPP, and data center projects.
- Prepare detailed schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Conduct load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash analyses to ensure system safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and project management teams to integrate electrical designs into overall infrastructure.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, equipment datasheets, and material specifications.
- Ensure designs adhere to IEC, IEEE, and local regulatory standards (e.g., TNB, STN).
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and testing phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design for high-voltage systems, substations, or power plants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or PSSÂŽE for electrical modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, IEEE standards, and local grid codes (e.g., Malaysiaâs S73).
- Experience with protection relay coordination, earthing systems, and lightning protection.
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration (solar, wind) is a plus.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills in English.
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification or equivalent is highly advantageous.
