Responsibility
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the EHSM System in compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure employee awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, preparing reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HR teams to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated on emerging EHS regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related inquiries from employees, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Certification in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
