Responsibility
- Prepare, verify, and submit PIB (Pemberitahuan Impor Barang) and PEB (Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang) documents in compliance with Indonesian customs regulations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance of import/export shipments.
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and other trade documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in customs declarations to avoid delays or penalties.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of all EXIM documentation for audits and reference.
- Liaise with internal teams (warehouse, finance, sales) to align documentation with shipment schedules.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements affecting EXIM processes.
- Provide guidance to junior staff on best practices for documentation preparation and submission.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in customs documentation (PIB/PEB) for import-export logistics.
- Deep knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations (Bea Cukai) and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in using INSW (Indonesian National Single Window) and other customs platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in complex trade documents.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with HS Codes, Incoterms, and free trade agreements (e.g., ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
