Responsibility

  • Global Payroll Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global payroll strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing global payroll team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Transformation: Lead payroll system implementations, automation initiatives, and process optimizations to enhance accuracy and reduce cycle times.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to local and international payroll regulations, tax laws, and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to align payroll operations with broader organizational goals.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Deliver actionable insights through payroll metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address payroll-related risks, including fraud prevention, audit readiness, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Change Management: Drive cultural and operational change to adopt best practices and new technologies across global payroll functions.

Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership: 12+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 5 years in a global payroll leadership role (Director/VP level).
  • Multinational Expertise: Hands-on experience managing payroll across APAC, EMEA, and/or Americas, including complex jurisdictions.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, Ceridian) and integrations with HRIS/ERP platforms.
  • Compliance Acumen: Strong understanding of international tax, labor laws, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PEO, EOR, expatriate payroll).
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance operational execution with long-term vision, including M&A payroll integrations and global expansions.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication skills to engage C-suite executives, HR leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Rigor: Advanced Excel and BI tool proficiency (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze payroll data and trends.
  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, or related field; CPP, FPC, or global payroll certifications are a plus.
