As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional partnersāincluding marketing, operations, and constructionāto develop and implement innovative design solutions. Based in the heart of Baliās cultural and tourist hubs (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, and beyond), this role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, creative setting while contributing to a brand renowned for its artisanal products and exceptional service.
Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end design process for new store openings and renovations, from conceptualization to final execution.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, mood boards, and 3D renderings to align with Mary Grace Cafeās brand identity.
- Source and evaluate materials, furniture, and decor to enhance visual appeal and durability.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines.
- Work closely with the marketing team to integrate brand storytelling into physical store elements.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in retail design, sustainability, and customer experience to innovate continuously.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or commercial design, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate between teams and external vendors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local building codes, permits, and vendor networks in Bali is highly advantageous.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and spatial aesthetics.
- Ability to travel frequently to project sites across Bali.
