Are you a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with a passion for optimizing enterprise-level database systems? Neuron Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior DBA to join our dynamic team and drive the performance, security, and scalability of our mission-critical databases. This is a contract-based role with the flexibility to work remotely from the vibrant locations of Bali, Indonesia (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, and more).

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize high-performance database systems (SQL/NoSQL) to support enterprise applications.
- Monitor and tune database performance, ensuring 99.9% uptime and minimal latency for critical operations.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to streamline database integrations and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and scheduling tools.
- Conduct capacity planning and scaling initiatives to accommodate growing data volumes.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards (GDPR, ISO 27001) and implement access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, providing root cause analysis and preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Proven track record in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) and hybrid environments.
- Experience with database clustering, replication, and sharding for high availability.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and scripting languages (Python, Shell).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
