Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable seamless communication between enterprise systems.
- Integrate third-party services, SaaS platforms, and legacy systems using microservices architecture and event-driven patterns.
- Optimize API performance, latency, and reliability through caching, load balancing, and efficient query design.
- Implement authentication (OAuth, JWT) and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure data exchange.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define API specifications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues using tools like Postman, Swagger, and ELK Stack.
- Document API endpoints, data models, and integration workflows for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in API gateways, webhooks, and serverless architectures to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in API development using Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
- Proven expertise in systems integration with tools like MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, or Dell Boomi.
- Strong proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex integration issues.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
