Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle and MongoDB databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to enhance system efficiency.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime or data loss.
- Develop and enforce database standards, policies, and best practices for data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and data models.
- Automate routine database tasks, including backups, recovery, and patch management, using scripting and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, providing root cause analysis and preventive solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Oracle and MongoDB.
- Proven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery procedures, and high-availability solutions.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
