Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive information.
- Create and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and data management needs.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including updates, patches, and migrations.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and policies for internal reference.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on enterprise-level systems.
- Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
