Responsibility
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and gap analyses to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS).
- Support the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs.
- Investigate and document security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into business processes and IT systems.
- Assist in vendor risk assessments and third-party security evaluations.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on security posture, risks, and compliance status.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in IT security, compliance, or risk management (internships or certifications count!).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Basic knowledge of network security, encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a reliable internet connection.
