Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Linux-based architectures for enterprise-level systems.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and enforce security policies, best practices, and compliance standards for Linux environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and development teams to integrate Linux systems with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on Linux-related projects.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in Linux system administration, architecture, or engineering.
- Expertise in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (KVM, VMware), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix) and logging systems (ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
