Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to optimize transaction processing, fraud detection, and risk assessment.
- Lead data-driven decision-making for Grabâs financial services, including payments, lending, and wallet systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to translate data insights into scalable business strategies.
- Build and maintain real-time analytics pipelines to monitor platform performance and user behavior.
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to evaluate the impact of new features and algorithms.
- Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in fintech, AI, and big data to drive Grabâs competitive edge.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regional financial regulations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on financial services, payments, or transactional platforms.
- Masterâs or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Strong background in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and experimental design.
- Familiarity with fintech ecosystems, including payment gateways, fraud detection, or credit scoring.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment with a proactive mindset.
