As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to optimize data workflows and ensure data quality.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and databases (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met across all data systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and pipeline failures.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering to drive innovation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and real-time data processing is a plus.
