Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and HVAC.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure maximum uptime and system reliability.
- Monitor and optimize energy efficiency, PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), and other key performance metrics to reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute data center upgrades, expansions, or migrations with minimal disruption.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency response protocols for critical incidents.
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks to adhere to industry standards (e.g., ISO, TIA-942).
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff to build a high-performing operations team.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in data center critical facilities, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of power systems (HV/LV), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers), UPS, generators, and BMS.
- Proven track record in managing mission-critical environments with a focus on uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in shift-based or on-call rotations as needed to support 24/7 operations.
