Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines to support business operations and analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure data accessibility and integrity.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement data quality and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into structured formats for analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Stay updated with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Document data architecture, processes, and workflows for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing and transformation.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
