Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability data center network architectures, including routing, switching, and security protocols.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network infrastructure with business and technical requirements.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Automate network operations using scripting (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform).
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network-related outages or performance degradations.
- Document network configurations, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g., SDN, NFV, cloud networking) and recommend adoption strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in data center networking, with a focus on enterprise or cloud environments.
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or Arista networking hardware and protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS).
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform) and scripting.
- Strong understanding of network security principles (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, DDoS mitigation).
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures is a plus.
- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, night-shift environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
