Join Vertiv as a Senior Customer Engineer specializing in HVAC and Thermal Systems Commissioning in the vibrant region of Bali, Indonesia. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority on-site, managing the entire commissioning lifecycle—from pre-installation planning to final handover. Based in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic hubs, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to execute mission-critical infrastructure projects. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end commissioning and start-up of HVAC, thermal management, and cooling systems for client sites in Bali and surrounding regions.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct on-site inspections, testing, and validation to ensure systems meet technical specifications and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during installation, start-up, and post-commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer teams to align project deliverables with client expectations.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and training materials for stakeholders and end-users.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and Vertiv’s quality standards.
- Provide post-commissioning support, including performance optimization and preventive maintenance recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering (or related field); advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC/thermal systems commissioning, start-up, or field service engineering.
- Proven expertise in data center cooling, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, or industrial thermal solutions.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, BMS (Building Management Systems), and automation controls.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regionally (50-70%) and work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as project demands require.
- Certifications in OSHA, electrical safety, or refrigeration handling are preferred.
