As a key member of our engineering team, you will oversee the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of advanced fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems. Responsibility
- Design, install, and maintain fire suppression systems (e.g., water mist, clean agent, CO2) for data center environments.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency response systems.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, FM Global, and Indonesian fire safety regulations (e.g., SNI, local AHJ requirements).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize system failures and false alarms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, IT, security) to integrate fire protection with BMS and DCIM systems.
- Lead risk assessments and recommend upgrades to enhance fire safety in high-density server environments.
- Train staff on emergency protocols, evacuation procedures, and fire system operations.
- Document all activities, incidents, and compliance reports for audits and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in fire protection systems, preferably in data centers or critical facilities.
- Certifications such as CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist), NICET, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA 75, NFPA 13, NFPA 72, and other relevant standards for data centers.
- Hands-on experience with VESDA, FM-200, Novec 1230, and deluge systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, or fire modeling software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is advantageous.
