Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability telecommunication networks for critical operations, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues, minimizing downtime for mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess telecom requirements and develop scalable, secure solutions tailored to operational needs.
- Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance to optimize network efficiency.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices to safeguard telecom infrastructure against threats.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Develop and update disaster recovery and redundancy plans to ensure business continuity.
- Stay abreast of emerging telecom technologies (e.g., 5G, SD-WAN, IoT) and recommend strategic upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in telecom network design, implementation, and operations, with a focus on critical infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in IP/MPLS, microwave radio, fiber optics, VoIP, and satellite communications.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) with strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
