Note: This is a contract-based role with the potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE policies and procedures specific to telecommunications projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-conformities, and areas for improvement in safety, quality, and environmental practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all telecommunications installations (e.g., fiber optics, towers, and network infrastructure) meet stringent quality and safety benchmarks.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees and contractors on QHSE best practices, including working at heights, electrical safety, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, while maintaining detailed records for reporting and compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders to ensure all telecommunications projects adhere to legal and contractual QHSE requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing QHSE performance data, identifying trends, and recommending process enhancements.
- Support the procurement team in evaluating and selecting vendors and subcontractors based on their QHSE credentials and track records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental), Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in QHSE roles, preferably within the telecommunications, construction, or oil & gas industries.
- Certification in QHSE management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) or safety training (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, TKPK 1) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with working at heights and telecommunications infrastructure projects (e.g., tower installations, fiber optic deployments).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards (e.g., K3, AMDAL).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QHSE management software (e.g., SAP EHS, Intelex).
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required; additional languages are a plus.
