Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain 24/7 data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
- Respond to incidents and outages promptly, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and optimize power, cooling, and environmental systems to ensure efficient data center operations.
- Document operational procedures, incident reports, and infrastructure changes for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability initiatives to support business growth.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and industry best practices for data center operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations, server administration, or IT infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage systems (SAN, NAS).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments, scripting (Bash, PowerShell), and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or ITIL are a plus.
