Responsibility
- Lead the development and maintenance of standard costing systems for manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) variance analysis to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) to provide financial insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, including cost simulations and scenario modeling to optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports to senior management with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, while maintaining meticulous documentation for audits and reviews.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or medical device industry.
- Proven expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and COGS reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with non-finance teams.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling tools.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
