Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ECAD component libraries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards (IPC, JEDEC, etc.).
- Lead component engineering activities, including selection, qualification, and lifecycle management for electronic and electromechanical parts.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and procurement teams to support product development from concept to mass production.
- Ensure design compliance with regulatory requirements (RoHS, REACH, UL, etc.) and internal quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve component-related issues in existing products, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs to guarantee design integrity and manufacturability.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend component upgrades or alternatives.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, OrCAD).
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in component engineering, ECAD library management, or PCB design.
- Proficiency in ECAD tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of component standards (IPC-7351, JEDEC, etc.) and regulatory compliance (RoHS, REACH).
- Experience with DFM/DFT principles and working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in component selection and validation.
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill) is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to thrive in a global, cross-functional setting.
