Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the commissioning process for offshore and renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, test procedures, and validation protocols for electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to identify and resolve commissioning-related issues.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and performance validations to ensure systems meet design and operational criteria.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and handover packages for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and commissioning personnel.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective commissioning activities.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in renewable energy and offshore commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commissioning, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in renewable energy or offshore projects.
- Proven track record of managing commissioning activities for large-scale energy systems, including wind farms, solar plants, or marine installations.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, DNV) and local regulations governing energy projects.
- Proficiency in commissioning software tools (e.g., ETAP, PSSĀ®E, or similar) and familiarity with SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (onshore/offshore) as required.
- Certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.
