Responsibility
- Lead the commissioning of electrical control systems for commercial vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians during the commissioning process.
- Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine electrical systems and commissioning technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning electrical control systems, preferably in the marine or offshore industry.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and automation.
- Experience with commissioning tools, software, and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
- Familiarity with international maritime standards and regulations (e.g., SOLAS, DNV, ABS).
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
