Responsibility
- Lead the electrical commissioning of power generation systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and validation of equipment performance.
- Develop and review technical documentation, such as commissioning plans, test procedures, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, civil, and control engineers) to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, local regulations).
- Oversee start-up and handover processes, including client training and performance verification.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for commissioning phases, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues during operation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in power generation and renewable energy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in power generation, commissioning, or industrial electrical systems.
- Proven track record in on-site commissioning for power plants, substations, or large-scale electrical infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes (IEC, NEC), protection systems, and high-voltage equipment.
- Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and automation systems in power applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in remote or international locations.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently for project assignments (local and overseas).
