Responsibility
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on AHTS vessels, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement upgrades and improvements to vessel electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support and training to vessel crew members on electrical safety and operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in the marine or offshore industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including generators, switchboards, motors, and control panels.
- Familiarity with maritime electrical standards and regulations (e.g., SOLAS, ISM Code).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and adapt to changing conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
