As a Visiting Engineer, you will conduct on-site assessments, identify operational bottlenecks, and deliver actionable recommendations to drive performance improvements. Your insights will directly contribute to the operational excellence of our clients’ mills, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Based in the vibrant and culturally rich regions of Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung, this role combines technical challenge with the opportunity to work in one of Indonesia’s most dynamic locations. Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive on-site evaluations of palm oil mill operations, including machinery, processes, and workflows.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, waste, or areas for improvement in mill performance.
- Develop and present detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations for operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with mill management and staff to implement process optimizations and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to local teams on new technologies, maintenance protocols, and efficiency strategies.
- Monitor the impact of implemented changes and adjust recommendations as needed for sustained improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and innovations in palm oil processing to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in palm oil mill operations, process engineering, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, productivity, or cost savings in industrial settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently to mill sites across Bali and potentially other regions in Indonesia.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols, and sustainability practices in palm oil processing.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
