Responsibility
- Design and implement end-to-end cloud migration plans (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring) for enterprise clients.
- Assess on-premises infrastructure and develop cost-optimized cloud architectures tailored to business needs.
- Automate migration workflows using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to minimize downtime and risks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and high availability in cloud environments.
- Monitor post-migration performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders.
- Document migration processes, best practices, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of cloud industry trends (e.g., serverless, containers, hybrid cloud) and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud migration, infrastructure as code (IaC), and multi-cloud environments.
- Proven expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including migration tools (e.g., AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, CloudEndure).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance (e.g., VPNs, IAM, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
