Responsibility
- Architect and deploy private cloud solutions (e.g., OpenStack, VMware) with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, including access controls, compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC2), and cost optimization strategies.
- Design hybrid/multi-cloud integration frameworks to ensure seamless interoperability between on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Lead performance tuning and capacity planning to maximize resource utilization and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to implement automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Conduct risk assessments and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
- Mentor engineering teams on cloud best practices, emerging technologies, and architectural patterns.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies to enhance system performance, security, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years specializing in cloud architecture (private/public/hybrid).
- Proven expertise in private cloud platforms (e.g., OpenStack, VMware vCloud, Nutanix) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security in cloud environments (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IAM, encryption).
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or VMware (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware VCDX) are highly preferred.
- Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
