Responsibility
- Lead and manage R&D projects in chemical engineering, from concept to commercialization.
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and formulations for industrial and consumer applications.
- Conduct experimental testing, data analysis, and process simulations to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, quality assurance, and regulatory) to align R&D outcomes with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with international safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, REACH, FDA).
- Prepare and present technical reports, patents, and publications to stakeholders and industry conferences.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in chemical engineering, including green chemistry and sustainable practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, preferably in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or materials industry.
- Proven expertise in process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting in a laboratory or pilot plant setting.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, spectroscopy) and chemical software (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL).
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GMP, GLP, ISO 9001) and safety protocols (e.g., HAZOP, PSM).
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is a bonus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
