Responsibility
- Conduct chemical and physical analysis of latex compounds to determine composition, stability, and performance characteristics.
- Develop and optimize formulations for rubber and latex products to meet industry and client specifications.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments, including mixing, vulcanization, and aging tests, with meticulous documentation.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot material defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and internal protocols.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders, including recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in polymer science and propose innovative solutions for product enhancement.
- Support scale-up activities from lab to pilot production, ensuring consistency and reproducibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in rubber/latex compounding, polymer testing, or R&D within the chemical industry.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments (e.g., FTIR, DSC, TGA, rheometers, tensile testers).
- Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, vulcanization processes, and additive formulations.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, or Python for data visualization).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team and independently.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements for industrial materials.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (relocation assistance may be provided).
