Responsibility
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision measurement and test equipment in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Develop and implement calibration procedures and schedules to ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of equipment, documenting results and maintaining detailed records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to calibration equipment, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to support product development, testing, and validation processes.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on calibration techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain an organized and efficient calibration laboratory, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in calibration technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a similar technical role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of calibration standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025) and experience with calibration software and tools.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining a variety of measurement and test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and precision.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to document procedures, write reports, and train others.
- Certification in calibration or metrology (e.g., CCT, CMfgT) is a plus.
